As of  March 18, 2013, the Green Chemicals Blog has partnered with UK-based consulting firm Tecnon OrbiChem in able for both parties to explore the market intricacies between renewable chemicals and petrochemicals.

Tecnon OrbiChem has been providing data and analysis on bulk chemicals, petrochemicals and plastics to the petrochemical industry since 1975. The consulting firm specializes in Chemical Intermediates, Synthetic Fibres and Resins.

We are looking forward to bringing more detailed analysis of the biobased chemicals market and provide information services within the business of green chemistry.

Will Green Chemistry save the world or is it hype?

Doris de Guzman examines alternative processing, new technology, R&D and other sustainability initiatives aimed at preventing pollution; replacing ingredients; and using renewable feedstock.

Doris de Guzman has been covering the oleochemicals – natural fats and oils-based chemicals – market for more than 14 years and spread her beat to inorganics and biofuels. She previously covered specialty chemicals industries such as cosmetics, personal care, household/consumer care products, food & beverages, industrial specialties, nanotechnology, nutrition/supplements, and other niche chemical markets.

In November 2007, she started covering the business of green chemistry involving biofuels, white biotechnology, corporated sustainability initiatives, biobased-chemicals, natural/organic markets, clean technologies, chemical regulation and legislation, consumer trends and marketing, and anything involved under the umbrella of “green” and “sustainability.”

In March 2013, she started working with UK-based consulting firm Tecnon OrbiChem as senior consultant in order to provide more in-depth analysis of the bio-based chemicals market.
