Stora Enso launches Accelerator Program

Finnish pulp, paper and forest products company Stora Enso announced the launch of its Accelerator Program that is looking for start-up companies, growth companies, and disruptive entrepreneurs with current offerings in new material solutions, supply chain technologies, process optimization, analytics, IoT, design, manufacturing, machine learning and artificial intelligence that can provide solutions to reduce or eliminate plastic to apply to this program. The top 6 teams will be selected to work together with Stora Enso in a unique 3-months accelerator program.

Stora Enso’s aim is to help companies and society to transform towards a circular bioeconomy, and a shift from fossil-based materials to renewable ones. In practice, the selected startup companies will have 3 Stora Enso employees join their team to co-create a business opportunity between the startup and Stora Enso. Additionally, each selected startup company will have access to their own coach from the Stora Enso Group Leadership Team to guide them towards a potential business opportunity.

“With renewable materials at our foundation, Stora Enso plays an important role in the bioeconomy, where fiber-based products replace fossil-based materials to battle climate change. We welcome collaboration with innovative, fast-moving startups to advance capabilities and technologies, embrace new market opportunities and speed up our business transformation. The startups we select to collaborate with could be our partners or suppliers of tomorrow, together building a renewable future.”
