DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products Company has launched its first ingredient for the U.S. food market with its Zemea® USP propanediol as a natural solvent and humectant that can be used to replace petroleum-based propylene glycol or glycerin in a variety of food and beverage products. Zemea® USP is a natural, 100% biobased ingredient made from corn sugar through fermentation. The company is currently looking for partners in the food industry who are interested in evaluating the benefits of this new food ingredient.
