DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products Company LLC has partnered with Symrise for the use of Zemea® USP propanediol as a carrier for compounded flavors. Zemea® USP propanediol is a natural, 100% bio-based solvent and humectant made from fermentation of glucose. It is marketed as an alternative to petroleum-based glycols and glycerin, where the product’s humectancy, preservative effects, unique solubility and taste properties may be beneficial in food and beverage applications.
