Blog’s one year independence day

One year cakeI can’t believe it has already been a year since I transferred the blog from the ICIS site! The blog will actually be 6 years old since it was first founded in November 2007 but it’s good to celebrate its “One-year independence day”.

Good news is the blog’s monthly readership is on par and has sometimes even surpassed the former site’s stats.

As of the past five months, the Green Chemicals Blog has already reached between 11,000 and 15,000 page views per month, with a total of 120,000 page views since it started posting in September 2012.

The blog has about 400 dedicated email subscribers in addition to 2440 from twitter followers, 910 from LinkedIn followers, and 450 from Google Page subscribers. The blog is being read all over the world and I am looking for a web tool that has the ability to translate blog posts in different languages for our international readers.

I have also been toying on monetizing the blog starting with advertising but I am still working on this on technical and financial aspects. In the meantime, the blog is already working with various conference organizers worldwide for media partnerships. Email me if you are interested in this venture.

I am looking forward to more years of more posting! If anybody has any suggestions in improving the blog’s features and services, pls. email me at
