So has Segetis officially folded? I heard from a very good “DSM Source” that Italian levulinic acid producer, GFBiochemicals, has acquired Segetis’ IP and assets. Segetis gets $325K grant, plans commercial facility
Segetis recently announced that Minnesota’s Department of Agriculture has awarded the company $325,000 in NextGen Energy grant funding through the state’s Agricultural Growth, Research and Innovation (AGRI) program. Update 10/12/13: Avantium said the company’s YXY technology platform now also included methyl levulinate (ML), an intermediate that can be further converted into levulinic acid .
